For any golfer his clubs are not enough in order to enjoy his game. To get successfully through the day, he needs a range of eccentric and rather odd strange accessories. There are a lot of accessories to choose from, because golf is a very accessorized sport existing today. So trying to find a gift even for the most pretentious golfer is not that hard and the accessories for the game will make a perfect present.

There are a number of very useful and yet nice accessories for this game, among them counting the motorized golf caddies, home training equipment or a trip to a particular golf course.

The motorized golf caddies represent devices which will accompany the walking golfer carrying his clubs. Instead of tiring himself by manually carrying his clubs, the motorized caddy will do all the hard work. You simply need to relax and walk peacefully near it. But, if you consider buying one of these for a golfer friend, make sure that you know his preferences. Some golfers prefer hiring a caddy or leaving the clubs in the golf cart. First find out what he prefers and decide if he would consider a motorized golf caddy useful. The price for one of them can be fairly high. Make sure that buying it for a friend is worth all the money.

The home training equipment represents a popular thing inside the golfing community. They are usually meant to teach new techniques of swinging in the own home comfort. There are many types of devices and are known under the name of golf swing trainers. They are usually the most expensive gift for golf passionate. The choices are multiple from basic putting green for home to the more advanced clubs with an included accelerometer which are able to detect the speed and swinging angles. Again ensure that the person who will receive your gift in interested in such things and that she will use it wisely.

You also need to know that golfers consist into a easy to please crowd. A person who is very happy about hitting a ball with a stick all day long has no problem finding entertainment in the novelty gifts and gimmicky that you think to come with. As long as a golfer has some decent clubs, he should be all right and so finding the perfect gift for him must not be so difficult. Just being related to golf makes it a wonderful present. Golf clubs are a very expensive accessory for a golfer so, if you think to buy one for a friend, you would do probably better to give him a coupon or a gift certificate so that he can pick one on his own.

A further great gift for golfers might be a trip to a course about golfing, which they might enjoy. A golfer does not always have the time or sometime he doesn’t give a kind of break or relaxation to him by visiting some of beautiful and highly exotic locations of golf. If you are really looking forward to give a surprise or planning to give a delight to a golfer, you should better plan for long golfing vacation to any of the picturesque and splendid locations of the world. You better look for place where you can spend most part of the day in playing golf and then take the pleasure of swim in an ocean for an hour or so before heading towards your luxury hotel. You can control the cost as well if you have planned it in a right way.

Don’t you hate it when your feet start to hurt in the middle of your golf game? And because of this you can no longer concentrate on your golf swing. You start hitting the ball poorly when you had been hitting so wall just moments before that. There is a way to avoid this annoying problem and that is by buying a pair of good golf shoes.

Golfers who play lots of golf usually walk for miles with their shoes. That is why your shoes should be very comfortable. You should try wearing different shoes from various reputable brands until you find one that first you perfectly. Be sure to wear the same kind of socks you use while playing golf, so your choice will be more accurate.

But why buy golf shoes when you can wear sneakers? Golf shoes are a must for every golfer because they are designed specifically with the sport in mind. These shoes provide better grip and balance for golfers in all weather conditions, through the use of spikes. Nowadays, soft spikes are the norm for golfers worldwide.

Most golf courses don’t allow golfers to wear metal spikes on their shoes because the damage the fairways and the golf club itself. Another reason why golf shoes are so great is because they keep your feet warm and secure no matter how wet it is on the outside. Yes, these shoes are water proof in order to provide you with extra protection and comfort.

Having the right pair of shoes for golf is the same as having the right set of clubs or using the right kind of balls. This is why you should take the process of choosing your shoes very seriously. I had a friend who once wore poor quality golf shoes during a tournament. He was hitting his ball while balancing on a downward slope when he slipped all of a sudden.

And that was the shot that cost him the championship trophy. Don’t make the same mistake! Buy yourself a pair of good quality golf shoes today.

Just picture this for a moment. You’re standing on the first tee box and you just know today is the day. You have a plan, you have the confidence and you know today you are going to break 90 for the first time. Imagine what it would feel like if you can post an 89 at the end of this round. Sure there’s the personal satisfaction of hitting the goal but imagine how your buddies are going to react.

Are they going to be amazed? Are they going to ask for strokes? Are they finally going to have to pony up on your bets?

And what if you knew you could consistently shoot under 90. How good would that feel?

If you average 95 or 96 now, you probably have that sub 90 game already in your bag. You just need to know how to play it.

Want to know how?

I thought you might.

It’s time that the game of golf, that game you love so much starts giving back a little loving and here’s how you can get it.

Before you can play better golf you have to understand your weaknesses. Think back to your last round and review each hole. Where did you lose shots, and be realistic. How many fairways did you miss with your driver? How many second shots had to be played out of the rough or over a tree? How many chip shots did you skull or chunk? Is your putting really all that bad?

Once you figure out where the shots were lost, then focus on shots that you know you can make. What is your favorite club? Does your putter really not work or is your approach shot leaving you with 30 foot putts on a regular basis?

Once you know both your strengths and weaknesses, then it’s simply a matter of throwing conventional wisdom out the window and actually planning how to attack a hole. Remember, breaking 90 is just 1 stroke better than playing bogey golf at most courses. That gives you an extra shot on almost every hole. As you continue reading this article you’ll see how you can better use the game you have today to get a lower score.

The secret to lowering your golf score is to simply play within your game. Let’s imagine a 440 yard par 4. If you are consistently hitting a slice with your driver, ask yourself what club do I have that gives me the longest and most consistent shot. Maybe it’s your 3 wood or better yet a hybrid 3 iron. Whatever it is, use that to tee off with. Don’t worry about your buddies laughing. Your mission on this round is to keep the ball in play.

So if you drive goes 195 yards you have 245 yards to the pin; but you’re in the fairway and not in the rough or in a stand of trees. What club now? Probably the same one you teed off with.

Hitting off the fairway instead of a tee will probably take something off the shot. Assume you ball goes 190 yards leaving you 55 yards to the hole. Now what?

Well if you have a wedge that you can trust go for it. If not, think about what you do have that you can play with confidence. Can you make a long pitch with an 8 iron? Use whatever you feel comfortable with, not what the manufacturers say you should use. If you can get that ball within 15 feet of the pin your chances of getting down in 2 are excellent.

Now you’ve played this hole using 3 clubs counting the putter. How many clubs does it usually take? Odds are you’ll be using these same three clubs on all the par 4s. Three clubs to master instead of 4 or 5. Do you see where I’m going with this?

By playing within your game you are taking out the penalty strokes, bad lies, and the need to master every club and trick shot in your bag. You’ve just made the game a whole lot simpler.

That’s the good news but there is bad news.

As I’m sure you’re aware, this is just a band aid not a permanent fix. While that first sub 90 score is going to be exciting and feel really really good, it really has done nothing to improve your basic skills. But you know that don’t you?

Your real game, your real golf potential, will not be realized until you learn to master the swing. You’ve got a good head on your shoulders and you know this “course management” strategy is not the same as a “real” sub 90 round and that’s why you will continue to hit bucket after bucket after bucket looking for that elusive perfect golf swing.

Many golfers fail to realize that the vast majority of their shots occur within the context of the short game. Chipping often proves to be the nemesis of many golfers causing many agonizing bogeys or worse. The following are a few simple golf tips to improve your chipping. Use of them can both lower your score as well as avoid the frustration felt after a poor chip vitiates a perfect drive.

The primary golf tip to improve your chipping relates to your weight distribution. Many golfers make the critical mistake of maintaining the balance of their weight on their back foot. This posture seriously detracts from an effective follow through within your swing. Take some time to practice some chipping being watchful of how your weight is distributed. Make sure that just over half your total body weight is allocated to your front foot.

The next golf tip which will serve to ameliorate a poor chipping game is to lower your grip on the club when attempting to chip out of the sand. Playing balls out of sand traps is the most agonizing part of the game for most players. An effective sand game requires much work and cannot be achieved without significant practice. However, this most simple of golf tips can serve as an effective first step. Gripping the club too high when using your sand wedge is the number one reason for the notorious two inch chip landing right back in the sand.

The final golf tip to improve your chipping is to focus. Many golfers are still frustrated after a poor approach shot and immediately embark upon their chip being overly anxious to finally get on the green. This often proves to be their undoing. The simplest of golf tips which can improve all facets of your game is to concentrate, relax and enjoy the game.

Do you use a golf club caddy or a human caddy? Often, golfers seem to experience a love-hate relationship with the person who caddies their clubs. Although there are many good ones, there are also those who are overly talkative, nosy, or just plain rude.

Of course, a good caddy is worth his or her weight in gold. They carry our golf club bag, hold it for you, and sometimes even offer tips as to which club is best to use on a particular hole and advice regarding how to play particular parts of the course.

If you feel a human caddy is not worth the nuisance factor, however, a new product, the caddy, may be quite useful for golfers who do not want to be bothered.

Caddy Features

Caddies come in a variety of forms. There are some as small a clothespin which allows the golf club bag to stand independently and keeps it from tipping over on the green or fairway.

More popular is the combination of golf club bag and caddy. These feature a rib for reinforcement, which runs along the interior of the bag body. The rib can extend a short distance from the throat of the bag braced by a radial apparatus anchored in the center of the body. An advanced version of this basic caddy is one includes a golf ball retainer pocket.

This is a handy feature for keeping a golf ball between the hand grip and throat of the bag, in a location where it can easily be retrieved as needed. Still others feature a slot alongside the ball pocket where the golfer can slide additional balls to the front of the bag and quickly lift them out of the pocket.

Another golf club caddy combines the carrier with a support stand and wheels. The wheels help a golfer roll the bag across the golf course. When it is stood on its support, the bottom of the stand automatically spreads to keep the bag in place even while rearranging the clubs.

Golf club caddies come in quite useful, particularly on courses which do not allow carts, or where the tee boxes are located some distance from the cart path. One of the best features of a golf club caddy which is combined with a bag is that it doesn’t need to be tipped – unlike its human counterpart. A good quality, durable bag and caddy combination eases physical stress on the golfer as well.

Some golfers prefer to select each club in their bag individually based on its reputation for performance or the purported advantages of that particular club and mix and match manufacturers. However, this is not always the most advantageous way to gain a competitive advantage in the game. There are advantages to buying a complete set from one golf club maker.

Complete Set Benefits

Arguably the most important advantage to be gained from buying a golf club set is that each club is made consistently and will provide consistency of swing mechanics. Individual irons and woods have the same general weight, feel, and balance, unlike adding in a hickory-shafted club which would give the golfer a much different experience. No matter what company manufactures the set, a golfer can feel the same swing with every club in the bag.

What this means to the golfer is that he or she can perfect their balance with this consistency of swing. It allows the golfer to concentrate on the game instead of adjusting to the club. Since golf club sets all use the same grips on each club, this is another factor which does not need adjustment on the course.

Incomplete Sets

Golfers who choose to select each club individually often end up without a complete golf club set. Some choose to replace a particular type of club one year and then plan on replacing the rest in subsequent years. Unfortunately, sometimes this just does not happen, either because of the cost or the time involved. By the time a golfer buys new woods to go with the irons he replaced previously, those irons probably need to be purchased again, too. It becomes a vicious cycle to obtain a complete set of new clubs.

Price is a big consideration when deciding whether to purchase individual golf clubs or those in a complete set. Golf club sets will always be more cost effective than buying one club at a time. Even when the same manufacturer makes individual clubs and sets, the golf club sets will be less expensive.

While it may make sense to buy an individual club here and there as new technology comes out and manufacturers create an exceptional driver or putter, overall buying golf club sets provides more a benefit to the typical golfer.

We all know golf is a gentleman’s game. At least most of us who have been around the game for any time know this. Problem is, a lot of Sunday warriors don’t give much thought to this and don’t even follow the simplest of golf etiquette practices.

To avid golfers, this is pretty frustrating and viewed as plain rude. It doesn’t matter if it is a public or private golf course. Basic golf etiquette is just that “GOLF” etiquette. It applies to any golf course and any golfer.

Can I get a golf clap please? There’s a reason there is a specific way to clap on a golf course. You clap quietly, no yelling, shouting or cheering (ok, ignore the PGA tour. We’re talking about you and you group on a Sunday afternoon at the local golf course). Ok, here is a small list of do’s and don’ts.

Do follow the golf course’s dress code

Do show up to the tee box a little early for your tee time

Do follow the golf course’s golf cart rules (don’t drive on the greens or in the sand traps)

Do take your own set of golf clubs to the golf course. Do not share clubs on the course

Do be ready to play when it is your turn

Do play ‘ready golf’

Do let faster players or groups play thorough

Do play by the rules

Do keep your golf round to 4 hours or less

Do yell “four” when you believe there is the slightest chance of your golf ball hitting someone

Do not honk your car horn when you are in the parking lot (this means if your car honks when you lock the doors with your remote, lock them manually)

Do not yell over to your friends when you are in the parking lot (remember, when you arrive at the golf course, including the parking lot, follow golf etiquette)

Do not talk or walk behind others when they are hitting the golf ball

Do not hit into slower groups or golf players in front of you

These are some of the basic etiquette standards everyone is expected to follow on the golf course and even on the golf range. Have a great time, but never have your fun at someone else’s expense. It’s like being in a movie theatre. Everyone has paid to be there and enjoy themselves, so keep that in mind.

The question is; are you ready to improve your golf game? There are plenty of tips for golf beginners to follow, but just trying to implement every one of the tips could easily lose you in the sheer number. There is no question that golf is fun for the beginner to the advanced. How you spend you time on the course will determine if you are going to enjoy your day or not.

These tips for golf beginners will help to take you to the next level of game play.

1. Have you ever heard the phrase, “Practice makes perfect.” Great advice. And it does not always have to be on the golf course. Practice your golf swing in your back yard, minus the golf ball so you do not break the neighbors windows. Get a feel for your swing. Adjust your handgrip on the golf club. Vary your stance. Spend some time at the driving range, this is cheap practice compared to a round of 18 holes. You will not get upset at missing a shot when it really does not matter.

2. What ever you do when learning to play golf is do not go out and spend a lot of money on the best, hottest set of golf clubs available. When learning to play, they will not make that much if any difference in your game. Once you get a feel for your swing, stance and your style of play you will be able to make an informed purchase. I know you want look fly on the course, but resist the urge.

3. This is the most important tip for golfer, beginners and pros alike. HAVE FUN. It is always amazing how golfers ruin a perfectly good day getting worked up over a bad shot or a missed putt. Golf is a game that should be played for the enjoyment of it.

Once you start playing golf it will become addicting, but the pure enjoyment will make every game, every swing, every putt worth the time and effort your spent in learning the game of golf.
